Bongbong Marcos and what did he contribute to improve the lives of the Filipinos?

Bongbong Marcos is aspiring for the Presidential seat in 2022. He is continuously leading in official surveys including street surveys since October 2021.

Here is a simplified guide on the laws, bills, and house resolutions he was able to pass that greatly benefitted the Filipinos.

It is with the hopes that we would gain a better understanding of our leaders- and if God wills it- a deeper knowledge of our 17th Philippine President after His Excellency Rodrigo Duterte.

1. AN ACT CREATING THE DEPARTMENT OF ENERGY, DEFINING ITS POWERS AND FUNCTIONS, APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFORE AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES(9th Congress
House Bill №328)
Some of the essential points contained in the bill that Bongbong Marcos authored before.
Conduct a nationwide information campaign on energy conservation. Recommend appropriate courses of action to resolve major issues which impede energy projects sitting or result in environmental impact.
Creation of an Energy Regulatory board that should be headed by a Filipino of good moral character competent in the said field.
Fix and regulate the prices of petroleum products.
Temporary adjustment of the level of prices of petroleum products and the Oil Price Stabilization fund under P.D №1956.
Marcos was also responsible for the construction of windmills in Bangui and Burgos towns, which are considered the poster image of the Philippines’ renewable energy program. He said with the solar farm, Ilocos Norte will generate 50 percent of its power requirement from clean energy.

2. “ Recycling, Resource Conservation, and Solid Waste Management Act of 1994”.
A call to create a comprehensive solid waste management disposal in the Philippines. Creating a recycling program with appropriate waste management options.

Proper waste reduction, recycling, and composting.
Bill cites the need for government agencies and offices to purchase products with the highest percentage of recycled materials during public bidding.
The private sector is also encouraged to invest in waste processing industries by providing incentives like tax breaks, duty-free importation of equipment.

3. Reinstatement of nearly 1,000 public school teachers

Bongbong Marcos called for the reinstatement of the public school teachers, and for justice and fairness in dealing with the issues as House resolution.

4. ***PUBLIC SCHOOL TEACHER’S SALARY UPGRADING ACT

Filed on January 24, 2012, by Marcos, Ferdinand “Bongbong” R.

The bill sought to raise the compensation of public school teachers from Salary Grade 11 or approximately P18,000 a month to Salary Grade 15 or approximately P25,000 a month. The bill was filed to make the minimum salary of public school teachers more competitive than other professionals.

5. PAG-ASA NG PAGLAYA SA PAGBASA ACT

AN ACT ESTABLISHING A PROGRAM ENTITLING PRISONERS TO ADDITIONAL TIME CREDIT ALLOWANCES AGAINST THEIR PRISON SENTENCES, TO BE KNOWN AS THE PAG-ASA NG PAGLAYA SA PAGBASA PROGRAM, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES

44 out of 100 prisoners in the Philippines are illiterate. This bill was designed to help improve the reading comprehension of prisoners so they can be rehabilitated. To help improve their minds, and encourage them to read books, and enhance scientific and spiritual activities in prison. So prisoners, when released can have a chance to become good and useful citizens.
