At the heart of this grand affair is the iconic Patis Tesoro, revered as the “Grand Dame of Philippine Fashion.” Renowned for her unwavering dedication to reviving and elevating Filipiniana fashion, Tesoro has masterfully preserved the art of indigenous textiles, intricate embroidery, and sustainable craftsmanship.

Reflecting on her lifelong mission, Tesoro once shared.

“My dream is for Filipinos to embrace their heritage, to wear our traditional fabrics with pride — not just on special occasions, but as part of their daily lives.” Her words echo the very soul of this event — a call to cherish our roots while embracing the future.

A Patis creation has a soul, each piece is alive with unassuming Filipino craftsmanship

Maintaining tradition is partly about the craft but mostly about the people. Filipiniana is Forever will showcase an exquisite collection of Tesoro’s creations, from ethereal piña gowns to reimagined ternos that beautifully merge cultural symbolism with contemporary elegance. The event promises more than a fashion show — it will be an immersive journey through the rich tapestry of Filipino artistry and design.

Variety is key in making design. The ability to choose affects the act of creation. Which is why a lot of effort is put into making bespoke fabrics with the finest materials for our craft. Some of these fabrics take months to years to make. #filipiniana #filipinianaisforever #fashion #design #art #fabric #textile © Patis Tesoro Boutique

The event will also shine a spotlight on Paul Semira, one of Batangas’ most celebrated designers He is currently the Vice President of the Batangas Fashion Designers Guild and Co-Owner of the Mister National Universe Pageant.

In May 2024, Paul Semira was honored with the Best Designer award at Hibla and Deboho, a prestigious Batangas Textiles and Artisans design competition, further cementing his place as a key figure in the Philippine fashion scene.

Dana Liwag of Santa Emmanuelle Atelier would also be featured in the most anticipated Filipiniana is Forever at Mount Malarayat Golf & Country Club on March 2, 2025.

Her creations masterfully intertwine indigenous Filipino textiles — such as piña fabric, Burda ng Taal, T’nalak, and Inabel — with luxurious imported materials, crafting exquisite pieces that honor Filipino heritage while embracing contemporary elegance.

This event is a heartfelt collaboration between Living Life, Ping Panlilio Lifestyle, and Pizzazz Luxury Events, graciously supported by Mayor Eric Africa, the Lipa City Culture, Arts & Tourism Councils, and LTN Events — all united by a shared passion for celebrating Filipino heritage and artistry.

Ultimately, Filipiniana is Forever transcends mere fashion — it is a movement, a powerful reminder that Filipino heritage is not a relic of the past but a living, breathing expression of who we are. Patis Tesoro has long championed this vision, proving that the future of Filipiniana lies in honoring its roots while allowing it to flourish in the modern world.
