In life, you will encounter people who seem to dislike you for no apparent reason. It’s essential to take the time to listen and get to know their story. By understanding where their hatred and jealousy stem from, you create room for grace and understanding.

Some individuals feel insecure, often not by choice. They might envy your success or the positive changes they see in your life, but this doesn’t make them bad people. Most people don’t want to feel insecure, but it happens. Perhaps they had a difficult childhood, were bullied, or received little attention from their families. Maybe someone close to them made them feel unattractive and unworthy.

Their animosity towards you is often a defense mechanism to protect themselves from further hurt. It’s not about you; they are not your enemy. You need to find the space and time to understand why they feel this way. Once you know their backstory, you can offer assistance. Sometimes your kindness will be accepted; other times, it might be seen as an insult. But you should remain kind because that reflects your true nature.

Your kindness and where it comes from don’t need validation. You can act from a higher level of awareness. Many people know they feel jealous or insecure about a relative’s or friend’s success. They know it’s wrong to feel this way, but it’s a battle they must fight internally. Many don’t have the time for self-reflection and simply lash out. Therefore, your duty is to find time to heal your own wounds, as you are also wounded. If you haven’t healed, their actions will hurt you. But if you’ve done the work, you won’t take their mean words and actions personally. You will understand them.

Love your friends, relatives, strangers, and colleagues despite the insecurity, jealousy, and hatred you may see. Because love overflows from you, and this is possible only if you have taken the time to commune with and love the Lord, the Divine. Through the Lord Jesus Christ, you can tap into Christ’s consciousness. You will understand that everyone is battling their personal demons. Sometimes they win, and sometimes the darkness is heavy.

Keep working on yourself, bask in the light, and love as deeply as you can.
